When our family's beloved cat Tiger passed
away, in January of 2005, my daughter and I were devastated. We
had lost a member of our family. Thanks to my daughter's caring
suggestion that we bury Tiger at a local pet cemetery, we found
Pet Haven.
My daughter and I had just stepped out of our car in Pet Haven's
parking lot, when Franciny, the compassionate woman who works in
the office, reached out to us with sympathy and understanding. She,
Mike (Pet Haven's owner) and Jose, the groundskeeper, have consistently
showed unsurpassed sensitivity to the feelings and needs of companion
animla owners who have lost a cherished pet. they are helpful and
friendly. By sheer virtue of the humanity with which they daily
conduct themselves, they assist pet owner in moving through their
grief with grace and dignity, in a setting that has brought comfort
and peace to me and my daughter, as well as to countless other whose
companion animals have died.
To walk around the grounds of Pet Haven is to experience first hand
the love and devotion that companion animal owners bestow upon their
pets, even in death. Tasteful, personalized gravestones reveal the
myriad of animals buried at Pet Haven, with priceless photographs
or etchings. Each face tells a story of an animal whose life lives
on through precious memories. Many gravesites are decorated with
windmills, fresh or silk flowers, even stuffed animals. The grounds
are immaculately kept. And although no one wishes to suffer the
loss of a beloved companion animal, to spend a few precious moments
at Pet Haven, is to feel a sense of peace and serenity.
My family will always be thankful to the compassionate people at
Pet Haven for their help and understanding at a difficult time and
beyond.
All my best,
Lisa
